Amy Devers holds an MFA in furniture design from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she has also taught furniture design and construction. A finish carpenter and metal, plastic and upholstery fabricator, she has undertaken commercial design projects that include work for the Pasadena Museum of California Art bookstore, and her own original furniture has been exhibited in museums and galleries from Boston to Milan.

She once worked as a machine shop foreman at a design and manufacturing firm, where her responsibilities included prototyping and fabricating environmental designs, streamlining production operations and monitoring product quality.

Amy brings to DIY to the Rescue how-to instruction and enthusiasm that is contagious to homeowners and viewers alike! She also shares her many talents as the host of Freeform Furniture and DIY Inside: The Home Builder's Show on DIY Network.
